Program	SMC Technical Support
Description	To provide the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) and selected organizations with the capability to execute effective and responsive acquisition management in the areas of: Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E), Software Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Quality Assurance (QA), Modeling & Simulations (M&S), Concept Development, Architecture Development, Modernization Planning, and Intelligence Support. SMC is responsible for the effective planning, acquisition, management and administration of Air Force worldwide space and missile systems programs in support of global military operations. The scope of work encompasses the following Mission Area/Systems Experience: Surveillance satellites (DSP, SBIRS, STSS), Space navigation systems (AEP, OCX), Navigation User Equipment (SAASM), Navigation Satellites (GPS), Satellite Ground Stations, Satellite Control Networks (AFSCN), Space Control Systems (Situational Awareness, Counterspace), Weather Satellites (DMSP), and Unprotected/Protected Satellite Communications (MILSTAR, WGS, AEHF, TSAT). Staff will support the development, procurement, data collection, usage, modification/enhancement, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, verification, validation, protection and maintenance of tools, processes, guidelines, methodologies, models, simulations, databases, web sites, reports and applications to support the execution and management of SMC acquisition and intelligence programs.
Degree Required	Bachelor's degree in technical engineering field. Significant, directly applicable experience without a degree will be considered.

Location	Primarily in Los Angeles, CA; secondary work locations in Colorado and New Mexico
Clearance Requirement	Current Secret Clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred
